1. Introduction
Intraday Markets ("Intraday Markets", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.intradaymarkets.com and use our related tools and services (the "Website"), how we use, share and safeguard it, and the rights and choices you have.
By using the Website you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website or submit personal data to us. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.
2. Who We Are and How to Reach Us
Intraday Markets is the controller of the personal data described in this Policy (meaning that we decide how and why it is processed). You can contact us about privacy matters at support@intradaymarkets.com or business@intradaymarkets.com.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you interact with the Website:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Information you provide | First and last name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, and any message or details you include when you submit a call-booking, contact or lead form or email us. | Directly from you |
| Usage and device data | IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring and exit pages, pages and stories viewed (including stock report pages), features used, search queries entered in the Website, timestamps, crash or performance data, and whether a browser extension such as an ad blocker is blocking Website content (checked in your browser and not stored). | Automatically, through your browser or device |
| Preference data | Light/dark theme choice, your cookie choices, customised market lists, watchlists, selected timeframes, and similar settings. | Stored locally in your browser (for example local storage) and not necessarily transmitted to us |
| Cookie and similar-technology data | Identifiers and settings set by us or by embedded third-party services, as described in the Cookies section below. | Automatically |
| Advertising data | Cookie or advertising identifiers, ads shown and interacted with, IP address, approximate location, and browser and device details, collected by Google and its advertising partners when ads are displayed on the Website (only if you allow advertising cookies, or where the law does not require your consent). | Google AdSense and its ad partners |
| Communications data | Records of your correspondence with us, call notes and, where lawful and notified, call recordings. | You and us |
| Partner and referral data | Confirmation that a referral, click or registration through our links occurred (typically without your trading or account details). | Affiliate and partner platforms |
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as health data, racial or ethnic origin, religion or biometric data) and ask that you do not submit them to us. We do not collect payment card numbers or trading-account credentials on the Website, and we do not ask for your passwords to any third-party service.
4. How and Why We Use Your Information
We use personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal bases we rely on are set out below.
| Purpose | What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to requests and booking calls | Contact you to arrange and conduct a call, answer queries and provide information you asked for. | Performance of a request at your instigation; legitimate interests |
| Operating and improving the Website | Deliver content, remember preferences, analyse usage, fix errors, develop new features and keep our services reliable. | Legitimate interests |
| Security and fraud prevention | Detect abuse, bots, scraping and malicious activity; enforce our Terms; protect our users and systems. | Legitimate interests; legal obligation |
| Marketing and education | Send you educational content, market updates, offers or information about partner services you may find relevant. | Consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests, with an easy opt-out |
| Advertising and partnerships | Measure and attribute affiliate referrals; display advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense, and sponsored placements; measure and prevent fraud in advertising. | Consent (where required for cookies); legitimate interests |
| Legal and regulatory compliance | Meet legal, accounting, tax and regulatory duties, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims. | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
We do not sell your personal data for money. We do not use your personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies to operate the Website, remember your settings and understand how the Website is used.
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core functionality, security, load balancing, and storing choices such as the light/dark theme and your cookie choices. These do not require consent. |
| Preferences | Remember your customised markets, watchlists, timeframe settings and similar options. |
| Analytics and performance | Help us understand traffic, content popularity and technical performance, such as search-engine tooling and similar analytics services. Only used with your permission where required. |
| Third-party embedded content | Charts, tickers, calendars, heatmaps and screeners supplied by providers such as TradingView, and broadcast or news embeds. Loaded by default and can be switched off in Cookie settings. These providers may set their own cookies and collect data under their own policies. |
| Advertising and affiliate tracking | Identify referrals from our links to partners and deliver or measure advertising, including ads from Google AdSense. Advertising cookies are only used with your permission. |
You can control cookies through your browser settings (including blocking or deleting them) and through the Cookie settings link in the footer of the Website, where you can switch non-essential categories on or off at any time. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works. Third-party embedded content (such as TradingView charts and YouTube video) loads by default so that the Website works as intended; you can switch it off at any time using Cookie settings. Advertising and analytics cookies are only used with your permission.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on the Website. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies, including advertising identifiers, to serve ads based on your visits to this Website and other websites, to measure ads, and to detect and prevent fraud. The Google AdSense code is loaded only after you allow advertising in our Cookie settings or, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland where Google requires it, through the consent message that Google or its certified consent partner displays.
You can find out how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage or switch off personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of personalised advertising from many other advertising companies at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove ads from the Website; it means the ads you see are less relevant to you.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
We share personal data only as needed and under appropriate safeguards with the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that deliver the Website and serverless functions (for example, Netlify), who process technical and connection data, including server logs with IP addresses, on our behalf.
- Form-processing and email providers (for example, Web3Forms), who receive the details you submit in our forms in order to deliver them to us.
- Data, charting, news and embedded-content providers (for example, TradingView, Yahoo Finance, Nasdaq, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis data service FRED, and news-feed sources). Some requests are made by our servers. Others are made directly by your browser, in which case the provider may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser details when its content loads.
- Advertising partners, including Google AdSense and the advertising companies that work with Google, who receive cookie identifiers, your IP address, and browser and page details so they can show and measure ads, under their own privacy policies.
- Analytics and search-visibility tools, which help us measure and improve the Website.
- Brokers, trading platforms and partner firms. If you ask us for a call or introduction, or choose to proceed to a partner, we may share the contact details you provided so that the partner or our representatives can follow up. When you click through to a third-party website, that party collects data under its own privacy policy.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and auditors, and authorities where disclosure is required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy continuing to apply or you being notified.
Our service providers act on our instructions and are required to protect your data, except that advertising partners and other independent third parties act under their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites and services linked from the Website, and we encourage you to read their policies.
7. Marketing Communications and Calls
If you request a call or provide your contact details, we or our representatives may contact you by phone, text message, email or messaging application about your request and related educational content and services. You can opt out of marketing at any time by following the unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to a text message, telling the caller, or emailing support@intradaymarkets.com. We will honour your request promptly, although we may keep a record that you opted out to ensure we do not contact you again.
Opting out of marketing does not affect service-related messages, such as responses to a request you made.
8. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including countries that may not offer the same level of data-protection law as your country. Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. You can contact us for further information about these safeguards.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements. As a general guide:
- enquiry and call-booking details are kept while your request is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months) unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we have a continuing relationship;
- marketing preferences and opt-out records are kept for as long as necessary to respect your choices;
- server, security and analytics logs are kept for a limited period, normally not exceeding 26 months; and
- records we must retain by law are kept for the legally required period.
Advertising partners keep data under their own retention policies. When our own data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it, or, if that is not immediately possible, securely store it and isolate it from further use.
10. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, access, disclosure and alteration. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls, secure hosting and the use of reputable processors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own devices and any credentials secure. If a data breach affects you and notification is required, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your Rights (EEA, UK and Similar Jurisdictions)
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- Portability of data you provided, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests and, at any time, to direct marketing; and
- Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You can withdraw consent to advertising, analytics and embedded content at any time through the Cookie settings link in the Website footer.
To exercise a right, email support@intradaymarkets.com. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by law (generally one month). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority, although we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
12. Additional Information for US Residents
If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers (such as name, email, phone number, IP address, cookie and advertising identifiers), internet or network activity, and approximate geolocation, for the business purposes described above. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Advertising provided by Google AdSense and similar tools may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising or a "sale" under certain state laws. You can opt out by switching off Advertising in Cookie settings in the Website footer or by emailing support@intradaymarkets.com, and we will honour recognised opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. You may use an authorised agent to submit requests, subject to verification.
13. Children's Privacy
The Website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact support@intradaymarkets.com and we will take steps to delete it.
14. Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. As there is no common industry standard for responding to them, the Website does not currently alter its practices in response to such signals, but we respect Global Privacy Control and similar legally recognised signals where required.
15. Links to Other Websites
The Website contains links to third-party sites, including brokers, partners and news publishers. This Policy does not apply to them. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, their content or privacy practices.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. The latest version will be posted on the Website with a revised effective date, and where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
17. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns or requests about this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal data, contact us at support@intradaymarkets.com (privacy and support) or business@intradaymarkets.com (business and legal).
